Both the 1900 and Cyclone 2100 have the same successful running plank and dead rise angle in its hull design and have proven its rough water capabilities. After the sale of these molds to the UK, Cyclone Boat Company Australia designed a boat that took rough ski racing to the next level, the Cyclone 20. With the last two F2 World Titles to its name this design has well and truly exceeded all expectations. With better handling and increased stability due to the extra wide chines, our boats will land soft every time, even when put through the riggers of offshore powerboating.
Cyclone Boats ongoing testing of infusion light weight laminates has proved that stronger and lighter is faster in ocean ski racing. What is infusion you may ask? It's a process in were the hull is gel coated and a tie layer is applied as normal, then all the materials including Carbon Fiber, Klegecell foam and uni directional glass are layered in dry. |

A vacuum zone is set up on the edge of the mold flange. Next is the application of the infusion vacuum bag with resin in-lets pre set up in the bag. Once the bag is fitted and it has been ensured that there are no air leaks, the resin in-lets are opened introducing the resin to the compressed laminate, and the vacuum is held on until the resin gels. This produces the perfect part with the optimal resin to glass ratio |
The Cyclone 20 hull is available as an F2 infusion model with built in wind deflector. Cyclone also manufactures an infusion social race lightweight. In the coming months we will be releasing our new 19ft river race boat and a 20ft 8 litre inboard.
